Funding Readiness

Are you considering funding to start, strengthen, or grow your business—but aren’t sure what type of capital is right for you or whether your business is ready?

Funding Readiness is a three-week, live virtual program designed to help business owners better understand their funding needs, evaluate financing options, and prepare for conversations with lenders and other funding partners.

Throughout the series, participants will work through three key areas of funding readiness:

  • Funding Needs & Funding Sources: Evaluate why you need capital, explore potential funding sources, and better understand debt and equity options.
  • Creating a Financial Package: Learn how to organize the financial documents lenders look for and understand key financial ratios used to evaluate your business.
  • Evaluating the Health of Your Business: Assess your business through the 5 C’s of Credit and other lending considerations, explore alternative financing strategies, and develop actionable next steps for your funding journey.

Each live virtual session combines instructor-led content with facilitated discussion, giving participants the opportunity to apply what they’re learning to their own businesses and ask questions along the way. Participants will also have access to one-on-one SBDC advising throughout the series to receive individualized support as they prepare for funding.

By the end of Funding Readiness, participants will have clearer next steps for preparing their business and financial information to pursue the right funding opportunities for their needs.
